About the deck
In 1909 the artist Pamela Colman Smith, under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite, created an innovative 78-card tarot deck that came to be recognized as revolutionary, and became the benchmark for the decks published afterwards. The Rider Waite tarot is among the most popular and appreciated decks in the world, a great synthesis of western magic in which Christian mysticism merges with the Jewish Kabbalah, alchemy and Eastern philosophies.
About the box and the edition
Each box is branded and hand-painted with an aging technique that gives it a vintage look. Because the painting is done by hand, every box has its own character.
