This beautiful deck was printed in 1880 by the Italian paper company of Serravalle Sesia, a small town in the province of Vercelli, in Piedmont.
Since the sixteenth century, in Serravalle Sesia, there were some paper factories that supplied the typographies of the region, but the first news of playing cards produced in that locality dates back to 1736.

Questo bellissimo mazzo venne stampato nel 1880 dall’azienda Cartiera Italiana di Serravalle Sesia, un piccolo paese della provincia di Vercelli, in Piemonte.
Fin dal Cinquecento, a Serravalle Sesia, esistevano alcune fabbriche di carta che rifornivano le tipografie della regione, ma la prima notizia di carte da gioco prodotte in quella località risale al 1736.
