WHO IS THE WHEEL, ARCANUM 10 OF THE TAROT OF MARSEILLE?
The Wheel of Fortune, the tenth Major Arcana in the Tarot de Marseille, features a moving wheel upon which three strange creatures rest.

The one on the left faces the earth, which symbolizes matter, while the one on the right faces the sky, symbolizing the mind and spirituality.

At the center of the wheel is the third creature, whose characteristic is stability: it holds a sword and wears a crown on its head, which gives it authority and legitimacy.

The wheel represents a mechanism that no one can control. However, its constant movement indicates change and the alternation of positive and negative things.

The Wheel of Fortune, often interpreted as the wheel of life and death, is an indicator of change: it corresponds to the number 10 and can be interpreted as the conclusion of the first cycle.
