WHO IS DEATH, ARCANUM 13 OF THE TAROT OF MARSEILLE?
On this card, the thirteenth of the Tarot de Marseille, we see a hunched skeleton holding a scythe.
Both symbols of death, the two elements give insight into the meaning of the card.
The skeleton is bent forward and at his feet we notice other pieces of skeleton (hands, heads): the atmosphere of the card, number 13, is very negative.
INTERPRETATION OF THE CHARTER
In operation
An unexpected, radical change in your life, a new wind blowing on new projects or your love life.
Death leads us to think of the end of a complicated situation, the conclusion of something.
This character also evokes innovation: new ideas that break the established order, a renewing rebellion.
Not in operation
Death implies total failure: abandonment by some people or the abandonment of projects or ambitions.
In short, the end of something and destruction.
A character who is out of control, who is suffering numerous failures, is losing all self-confidence and is wandering in the darkness.
