Tarot of Marseille: The Empress

WHO IS THE EMPRESS, ARCANUM 3 OF THE TAROT OF MARSEILLE?
The Empress is the third Arcanum of the Tarot of Marseille, it represents a woman sitting on a throne.

In his left hand he holds a scepter and in his right hand a shield with an eagle with outstretched wings.
The Empress wears the royal emblems and the throne places her in a position of superiority: her attitude gives her a dominant character and her gaze appears full of grace and looking towards the future.
This card is in opposition to the Popess which it follows, as it presents a woman of action who is interested in concrete things.
While the Popess appeared stuck in a gestation phase, the Empress, which is the next card, appears radiant and focused on the concrete realization of a project.
Her gaze seems to introduce the next card: the Emperor, whom she supports through her femininity and benevolence.

The Empress is a card that instills confidence.

It symbolizes abundance and wealth.
The Empress represents an established figure, who enjoys great social recognition.
