There are various interpretations available on the internet. In this article, we will look at four reading methods using both the major arcana alone and the complete deck.
How to read Tarot?
It's always a good thing when someone approaches the Tarot, but it's also true that the sooner one discovers its deeper meaning, the better.
We understand teenagers' desire to explore their future and the outcome of their upcoming exams or engagements, but Tarot is something entirely different!
The basic starting point for a Tarot reading is awareness! Some people use it to gain power, to influence others, or for other less-than-constructive purposes.
He who takes advantage of the ego of others ultimately increases his own power.
There are even those who use this powerful and noble tool to attack with terrifying predictions, which will completely overwhelm the querent. This approach should be rejected and resisted by those who read Tarot cards with nobility of spirit.
When you trust someone to read your Tarot cards, you're entrusting them with a very delicate sphere. If the person reading the Tarot cards is honest, they'll be very careful not to introduce any projections of their own "ego" into the reading. No intrusion.
To become a good reader, you must first learn to read using classical forms. Once you've mastered these formulas, you'll find your way!
Without study and comparison of readings, there will be no true growth. Especially without using memorized Tarot cards, which will guide the beginner like a true prophet.
When you reach an excellent level of reading, knowledge and above all awareness, you will be able to reach a personal conception of reading.
It is said that there is no single method for Tarot reading: one must study traditional methods to then create a new form of reading.
A bit like aspiring artists who study the works of artists of the past to then find their own path, their own journey, their own dimension.

the Tarot of Marseille
We would like to bring you some of the most important classical draws, which the apprentice should know by heart and study tirelessly.
The reduced draft which is arranged in a cross.
The average draft that is arranged in a semicircle.
The complete draft that is arranged in a circle.
The total draft that is arranged in cycles.
REDUCED DRAFT:
For this draw, only the 22 main tarot cards are used. Four cards are drawn after shuffling.
The first card is placed on the left and represents what directly interests the applicant.
We will place the second card on the right, and it represents what is external to the consultant.
The third card will be placed above, and will indicate the action of the higher forces that will reconcile the other two cards.
The fourth card will be placed at the bottom and will determine the result.
The numbers on the four cards are added together. The card corresponding to the number found is then placed in the middle. If the number is higher than 22 (which in this type of draw would represent the Fool), the two numbers are added together and placed on the corresponding card.
For example, if the sum is 44, you do 4+4=8 and take card number 8, which would be Justice. Sometimes the sum corresponds to a blade that has already been drawn, in which case you discard that card and start over using only the other three.
MEDIUM DRAFT:
This type of reading uses 12 drawn cards arranged in a semicircle. Reading occurs from left to right. For a clearer reading, it's best to lay out an additional twelve cards to support the first.
The support cards will be drawn and arranged starting from the heart and moving to the right. Each of these support cards complements the meaning of the card it supports.
FULL DRAFT:
This type of drawing refers to the laws that govern the horoscope. Twelve cards are arranged in a full circle, symbolizing the 12 houses of the zodiac.
The first card on the left represents the physical and mental state of the consultant.
The second card, below, his material possessions.
The third card, his family environment.
The fourth card, which will be placed at the lowest point, represents his legacy.
The fifth card, which will be placed as the first card on the other side, represents his children and loved ones. The sixth card represents his servants and his illnesses.
The seventh card, arranged so that it faces the first on the other side of the circle, represents her spouse and his guests.
The eighth card symbolizes his death and his legacies.
The ninth card represents his religion.
The tenth card, which will be arranged so as to cover the top corner of the circle, will represent his situation.
The eleventh card, which will be placed at the beginning of the new descending cycle to the left, will symbolize friends and support.
The twelfth card, which will touch the first, represents his trials.
The first card drawn goes to house 1, the second to house 2, the third to house 3, and so on. This continues as long as minor blades are drawn. If major blades are drawn, they are placed in the house, but the draw continues until all the houses have only minor blades.
So we will have the minor blades unique to the houses, and major blades that overlap until a minor blade comes along to close the house.
In the reading, you should therefore connect the meaning of the house with the card or cards that occupy it. If there are multiple cards, you will need to rely on the order in which they were drawn.
The houses containing the major blades produce characteristic events. Major blades divided by one or three houses are favorably associated, or unfavorably if two or five houses are interspersed between them.
TOTAL DRAFT:
This type of draw is performed by placing the top 12 cards in the 12 cards without stopping with the larger cards. The direction is always from left to right, starting from the first house.
The game continues until all the cards are played. There will be six sets of 12 cards laid out on the table, plus a surplus of six cards that will be placed on the odd-numbered sets. So, the first set will contain 7 cards, the second 6, the third 7, and so on.
This draw is read by interpreting the cards from the first to the last drawn, obviously giving more importance to the first ones.
These are the basic techniques every beginner should study and understand. But the fundamental skill to develop is not technique, which is essential anyway, but awareness.
Always remember this!
Happy reading everyone
